Additional Notes

He was born in Tudhoe, Co. Durham, on 15th June 1834. He left a wife, Jane Pinkney (nee Rivers) and three children (Ann, William jr. and Robert) when he died. His older brother (John, born 1st December 1830) was killed in the same colliery in 1860.
